Subscription Concert Service Jukely Wows Music Lovers with New Cities & Features

In January, we wrote about Jukely, a subscription service that helps music lovers get concert tickets for $25/month. At that time, the service was only available in New York City and Los Angeles. But Jukely has been busy and has recently added new features and cities. Here are some of the changes:

  • Free 7-day trial
  • Additional cities: Austin, Texas; Miami, Florida; San Francisco, California; and Chicago, Illinois
  • Unlimited Plus plan: now two people can subscribe for $45/month (the Unlimited plan for one person at $25/month is still available)
  • Contests to win tickets
  • A journal with artist interviews

In the last month alone, Jukely made 500 different shows available to subscribers, including concerts featuring Skrillex, Holy Ghost!, Brandi Carlile, The Chainsmokers and Waka Flocka.

Here’s how it works. Jukely adds new shows at 11 a.m. daily, up to two days in advance of a particular show. Subscribers can get on the guest list to any show listed on a first-come, first-served basis. Jukely sends the guest list to the concert venues at 5 p.m. each day. There are a few restrictions, of course, like actually attending the concerts you sign up for, but none of the restrictions seems unreasonable.

As we mentioned in our previous post, for the most part, subscribers aren’t getting tickets to mainstream artists, but they do get the opportunity to hear emerging bands and new music. Jukely seems to be shifting its stance on this though – offering more popular artists as well as access to sold-out shows and festivals. For example, Jukely is running a contest for subscribers to win two tickets to see Mary Chapin Carpenter.

According to a recent article about Jukely in the Chicago Tribune, the average subscriber attends two concerts per month and approximately 30% have upgraded to the two-person plan.

Insider Take:

Since we first reviewed Jukely, the website has become more robust, adding more information about how the program works, listing upcoming concerts, posting a journal with artist interviews, offering contests to win tickets, and more. Based on these upgrades, we presume that Jukely is gaining in popularity and adapting to its audience needs.

We love that the company has added a “+1” subscription that allows two people to share a subscription for concert tickets. It is always more fun to share a concert experience with someone than to go alone, and Jukely has made it easy. For $25 or $45/month, music lovers have an incredible, unmatched opportunity to sample new music, follow their favorite emerging artists and enjoy entertainment and concert experiences affordably.

Two thumbs up for Jukely.
