World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) just announced plans to launch its own subscription site on Feb. 24th, with 24-hour streaming.

The video announcement (which is just about the funniest corporate announcement I’ve ever seen), notes that the new network will have access to all shows and create new original programming, including a daily studio show. In addition, subscribers will have access to all formerly-aired pay-per-view events.

Flagship shows like RAW and SmackDown will stay exclusive to cable, but the new site will have pre- and post-shows to debrief — a perfect enthusiastic fan tie-in.

Pricing is starting at $9.99/month with a six-month commitment, which is increasingly becoming the benchmark price for B2C video streaming sites.

A monthly subscription allows you to access the site’s video streams from multiple devices, including Kindle Fire, Android, iOS, Roku, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360.

The site will first roll-out in the US, then to the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Nordic nations by the end of 2014 and early 2015.
